I started a tradition, and I am so glad I did, of taking a picture of Lincoln when he was 1 with the first picture I had ever taken of him right after he was born. And then when he was 2, I took a picture of him with that picture. I have kept up with the tradition and the pictures have turned out so cute.
For this party I went with an astronaut theme - space, rockets, and everything out of this world. I got decorations from Amazon and Etsy and pulled together the food around the theme.

For the food, I leaned into the theme as hard as I could. Every dish had a space-themed name on the label. Cupcakes from Urban Cup were decorated with little rocket toppers and came out beautifully - lesson learned from the dinosaur birthday: leave the baking to the professionals.
For party favors I made sugar cookies and used a rocket-shaped cutter, filling the impressions with colorful sprinkles. I also melted chocolate into planet and star molds to send home with guests.
